Monday 12th Sept - at Lake Keepit
Oh dear! This is our last full day at Lake Keepit. Tomorrow we move on heading south with our goal being Temora by Fri night this week. There are some vintage planes flying at the airfield next Saturday and the two Rons would like to watch.
Today we started a bit of pack up and the girls did some washing and some cooking. RonG finished another book and the two Rons took some time to try to plug the leak coming from the water tank outlet. Hopefully it will hold.
The gliders have been very busy today - they must all be retirees, gliding on a Monday. They achieved heights which we haven’t seen all week. At on stage there were 9 gliders up at the one time, riding thermals (doing circles as they got lift to climb). They seemed to be up for 3 to 4 hours.
Tomorrow morning we intend to get up a bit earlier to watch Ch7 Sunrise (well actually we can lie in bed and watch it - even better). The program tomorrow am will be broadcast from Keperra Sanctuary where Ron’s brother Jim lives. Who knows we may see him on the telly.
