Little red fox along side of the road

That firewood is marked!

Ahhh, the reason for marked firewood (who knew?)

Ken enjoying a Canadian brew

We departed Dawson City, headed toward Whitehorse with intention of getting to the Carmacks area tonight. As we were leaving Dawson City, we saw a little red fox just sitting along side the road, got a nice pic of him, but seems strange he would be just sitting there. The roads were pretty rough today, we arrived in Carmacks and didn't really like anything we saw, so we motored on down the road and dry camped at Twin Lakes Provincial Park, got a spot over looking the lake, score!! It was a very beautiful & peaceful place, after the camp hosts turned off their generator...ya, we know, we're just jealous because we don't have a generator! The provincial parks in Canada are amazing, but at this park we discovered a strange thing; They provide free firewood, but it's all marked with red and yellow paint, how strange is that? Well, with a little checking, we discovered that theft of firewood in the parks is a problem...I guess that would be easier than cutting your own...so best we can figure out is it's marked to discourage theft.

We didn't stop & take a lot of pictures today as we were trying to make miles, we put on 253.
