We departed the Grizzly Bear RV Park and headed to Denali NP in hopes of getting a camp site in Denali park, but not to be, they were all full, so we headed on down the road for a mile and secured a spot at at Denali Rainbow RV camp, basically just a parking lot, but they did have hook-ups, so life is good, and we're only about a mile from the entrance to the park. We went to Denali and got signed up for a 6.5 hr bus ride into Denali park, departing at 3 pm, so we have a couple hours to kill. We went to the Denali visitor center, which was an impressive place, and also had time to take in the Denali dog sled demo, which was very interesting; they have 32 dogs in their kennels, and we were able to pet and interact with some of them. When we departed on our bus ride into Denali, we met a nice young couple from New Ulm's a small world!! We had a nice bus driver who was very well informed about the park and the wildlife, and we saw a LOT of wildlife, but we DID NOT get to see Denali because of the clouds (bummer, but bought a post card instead). We saw moose, caribou, sheep, and 1 grizzly bear. Got back to the campground about 10 pm & were able to pick up some Tai food take-out; Asian food is very popular up here.
