At Lake Naivasha we went for a walk through the local national park. Came across our first zebra and masai giraffe and saw a snake skin that had been shed - it was huge! About 6 ft long. Also saw impala.

Made our way to Green Crater Lake where the pink flamingos congregated and then back to camp for a huge lunch. Next there was a long drive to Nakura - this is where we purchased Geoffrey (the giraffe) as our trip mascot - unfortunately, he's not that photogenic. We made our way to Kimuru Camp at Kembu Farm and arrived very late to wet, soggy laundry and sleeping bags since there was a torrential downpour in Nakura (think monsoon rain here!). Heather and I dried our stuff over the fire which took most of the night but at least we had dry clothes for the next few days (unlike some of the others!)
