Bumble Bee camper (could't resist this pic on the way to Sterling)

Bumble Bee camper - ya see a little bit of everything when...

We departed Homer at the crack of 10:30 AM, heading to Sterling for 2 nights. We secured a site at "Real Alaskan Cabins & RV Park", it's a nice place with lots of trees & ambiance. Only problem is it's close to the highway and we can hear it, but after the long stay at Russian River over-flow lot, we're kind of used to the sound, it's the same highway, just 30 miles or so south, so it's the same traffic. The weather remains to be rainy & cool, I guess this is more "normal" summer weather in Alaska, not the sunny 70s & 80s we had come to love the past few weeks. This is a good place to "lay low" for a day so we can attend the big fish fry on the Kenai River that we have been invited to for the next day (Wednesday). It's a good time to catch up on laundry and other business.
