Covered Bridge, Potatoes, Water Falls and Golf
Jul 9, 2016
|We rolled in to our campsite, after a Wonderful stop at the Falls in Grand Falls.
The falls spill 90% of the water in spring time that Niagara does.
There are lots of walking trails and 400 Stairs down into the gorge, of course what goes down..
Why, well, we all should know Secretariat. The triple Crown Racing thoroughbred. Ron Turcotts home town is here. BIG tributes hear around town.
After an injury from a fall from a horse, he was confined to a wheel chair.
We walked all around and Joe enjoyed the stairs down and up all 400 of them
We continued driving to Hartland to see the longest covered bridge, stayed at the golf course RV park, but there were a few tournaments were on so no t-times.
We did a tour of Covered Bridge Potato chip factory, we bought a few bags of yummy chips.
Oh, my, they are sooo.. bad for you.
They were a lot crunchier than most we have eaten.
The potato was first thought to be poisonous, funny how that thought is in some minds.
All and all we have a very relaxing day from driving, catch up on journals and pictures.
Hartland - Sommerville is the birthplace of my Uncle!
