Yesterday afternoon we stopped by the pier where the fishing boats come in to see what kind of fish they were cleaning. It was halibut and red fish(?). That red fish was an ugly bugger, I don't want to even eat any of that.
We went back home for our own happy hour while Karen was on whale watch duty at Cook Inlet. Homer is said to be the halibut capital of the world.
We traveled north and wanted to stay somewhere near a wildlife rehab place that we wanted to go to. This had us at the forest service campground which was full. The host gave us an idea and we parked for a while and later that evening he ran us down and had a campsite cancellation that we could have.
