|We awoke to a light drizzle this morning. We were leaving Seward today enroute to Homer, Alaska. But first we had to drive over to the city's dump station to empty our tanks and take on a new supply of fresh water. It's always exciting to dump, you're always on guard for any little thing that could go wrong and double checking all connections while potential disaster keeps running through your head along with that scene from RV with Robin Williams!!!! Hahaha, we dodged failure one more time, ye ha! We stopped at SafeWay to reprovision. Then headed north in the rain about 1 pm.
Made the turn onto Sterling highway. It was another beautiful drive for us. We saw the American Legion in Ninilchik was having a supper so we stopped by and had a good home cooked ham dinner. We pulled over at a pullout 30 miles from Homer, it is a quarter mile walk over to see Cook inlet.
it is foggy and rainy now but maybe well have a better view in the morning.
I did want to add something else, in all of our travels as we have stopped by American Legions in a lot of different states and towns we have always felt like we were treated like family. And it was always nice to have somewhere to stop and not feel like a stranger. The American Legion has always enriched our travels. Thank you.
