|Day 71 About 30ks out of Wyandra we passed a roo in the middle of the road that had been hit as we passed a joey popped its head out so we turned around and picked it up, wrapped it in a towel and put it in our dirty washing bag (took out washing of course). Had to take it to Cunnamulla where we gave it to the A.P.O. (animal protection officer). The road kill from Morven to Bourke is horrendous. Drove out to their dam that was overflowing, this was a sight to see. Couldn’t get into any of the caravan parks so we camped close by the old bridge, right on the edge of the Darling River and saw a night tour of the river as we parked up. Ducks in the morning were oppressive. There were several others there. Some overnighters and one that looked like they were here to stay.
