Victoria Angkor Hotel Saltwater pool

Sleeping in the rain

Nothing planned for the day so we slept in late and had a late breakfast. We packed bags for a bit then decided to head down to the old market to look around and spend a bit of cash.

Took a tuk tuk ride - about five minutes - then into the market. We wandered through clothing and shoes for a while, then came to the food section - lots of all sorts of fish, squid, and other things pretty unidentifiable. The smell was what you might expect with an open air fish market and 85 degrees.

Got some trinkets and final purchases then headed back for a tuk tuk to the hotel. Alice went up to her room and Kitty and I sat with our feet in the pool for a bit.

Finally back to the room and finish packing, then bags out and checkout of rooms. Have lunch at the hotel buffet which was OK, but it closed at 3:00 and we weren't being picked up until 5:00 - then actually were told 5:30 - the plan was delayed.

We sat in the lobby going over pictures from the trip then Phroney showed up to take us to the airport. A quick ride and we were there about 5:30 for an 8:30 flight. The walk to the plane was quite warm - then goodbye Cambodia.
