Rambling Rodericks travel blog

After hearing so much about San Antonio, and being so excited to get there, it turned out not to our liking. Kinda a bust. The park, which was supposed to be super deluxe, was okay. It was in heavy traffic. (We didn't realize S.A. was SUCH a large city and we were "In Town"!) Sea World was right nearby, but right away we lost enthusiasm to go.

It rained all but the first full day there, which, fortunately, was the day we chose to take a guided city tour which turned out to be pretty good. Went to the Alamo. Too rushed. Went to two historic missions. Too rushed. Went to a Japanese sunken garden built in an old quarry. Not in bloom. Boring.

With rain and thunderstorms all week, we mostly stayed inside. We were parked between two halves of a very loud family. Kids running back and forth under our trailer "nose". Drunken adults. We were very glad to leave S.A.
