Day two of the journey: Underway by 0830 with no issues this morning. Thanks be to God! Yeah! Kinda foggy this morning to start with, followed by showers here and there along the way. The scenery was beautiful and comforting. Lots of rolling hills with cattle, and sheep contentedly grazing. We had many hills and mountains to climb today. We started up the highest pass about noon (the Siskiyous), so that was to our benefit weather wise. It was snowing as you can see, but it wasn't sticking on the road. The road had been sanded too.
Lake Shasta is till very low. It is going to take a lot of water to even partially fill that lake up!
The interior of the Rv is finally warming up, those hard surfaces are not as cold today. But it is cold outside now with rain and a chilly wind. We are staying in Red Bluff at Durango RV Resort, which is right by the Sacramento river. They have a nice walking trail to take Zoey on, and after I get outside of the park I let her off the leash to run free. And run she did, with gusto! She ate all her supper and is now pooped out, laying on her Daddy's lap.(she doesn't sleep really well during the day when we travel. All the bumpy roads, and bridge transitions wake her up. She looks up at her Dad, like "seriously! Keep the noise down!")
It is a good night to have Turkey soup for dinner. Tomorrow we will be going through Sacramento and heading for Lemore Naval Air Station. Thank you all for your prayers for us!
