The Wandering Nunns 2015-2016 travel blog

What can I say about this??? We just kept going. LOL

We had an early start today, before 8 AM. It is sunny and predicting a high of 85F. We booked a site at Lake Louisa State Park near Orlando for three days, a drive of 365 miles according to the GPS M'nerve. This will be a good test for our drive coming on Feb 14 after we drop Lyle and Sandra at the cruise ship dock and head to Orlando to meet the kids. We are using the Florida Turnpike, a toll highway but they will apparently bill it to our license plate on some sections of it. I don't know if they will send a bill to non-Americans, time will tell. We stopped for lunch at Fort Pierce-Port St Lucie service plaza for lunch, and again at 2:00 PM for fuel at Canoe Creek service plaza. We had to pay cash tolls of over $40 today, not including any we get a bill for. Garry says we will not use the Turnpike next time.

We got our site at Lake Louisa about 4 PM. We headed into town to Hurricane Grill and Wings for supper. we watched a game on TV that we had never seen before, A Championship Women's Team Handball game from Europe. Looks like a great game, little equipment needed, and a large open space. My niece Trista tells me that they play it in high school gym classes now.
