Mesa Spirit RV Resort
December 2, 2015
I was up early this morning and made myself an egg McMuffin. My first mission was to fill up with diesel fuel.
We next went shopping at the local Camping World store before stopping back at the dealership.
After meeting with the salesman we went to a local furniture store to pick out a dinning table. This was all part of our deal with the dealership. I also purchased a neat little combination stand, magazine rack.
Returning to the RV Resort we loaded the furniture on board, hooked up and again returned to the dealership.
I paid my service department bill for new tires and the new Blue OX hitch.
By 11:00 we were on the road headed west on I-10 through Phoenix and west to Blythe, CA. Because this was an out-of-state purchase and various legal issues we needed to notarize the deal out of state.
It was a pleasant haul to Blythe. The road conditions were good and the traffic was light once we cleared Phoenix.
The rig pulled great. The FORD F-350 Super Duty hardly worked. The ride was very nice and the silver bullet pulled through the air with ease.
Once we finally completed the paperwork, Nancy and I stopped at a local restaurant for a great Mexican meal before hitting the road for Yuma. We still had another two hours of driving. The haul south on Hwy 95 was a breeze. We encountered very little traffic and we zipped right along.
We pulled into the Cocopah RV Resort shortly after 5:00 pm. Our neighbors met us at our site and helped us get settled. Once I had the basic hook-ups established and a little visiting we hit the bed early again.
It was a long couple of days and we are very unsettled but will eventually be somewhat organized.and comfortable.
