Cemetery in the town of Ferndale... this deer was oblivious to us

After driving the curvy and steep back roads...made it to the Lost...

During the last few days in the Eureka area, we did some housekeeping and went to the quaint village of Ferndale. Lot's of Victorian architecture and a pretty wild cemetery (up on the hillside). See the picture of the buck. From there we took a couple of trips out to the Lost Coast. This is an area of the coast that time forget (a least slipped her memory). The coast was bypassed by the coast hiway making it pretty hard to get to.

On the return trip after sundown we traveled through the Humboldt State Park. Was very eery driving through the curvy, narrow road through the giant redwoods.

Next stop will be Yosemite NP after a couple of intermediary stops.
