We just love the seguaro's!

Opening Day at the ball park.

Balloon festival in Glendale

Night games are fun but very cool after the sun goes down....

MIssing our little Patootie, time to go home!

We have made it to Arizona! Desert! Valley of the Sun! Saguaro cactus! Unlimited sunshine... Well, almost. It was 71 degrees and overcast when we got here, and we are supposed to have a whole week of overcast and intermittent light rain.

Since we left on December 12 and had the post office forward our mail, we had a pile of Christmas cards waiting for us! Along with three weeks worth of bills. It was fun to open the cards, the bills not so much.

Janet loves the sewing room here at Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort. She has a key to the sewing room AND this year she has a locker! The lockers are reserved for the 'serious sewers'. This allows her to keep her projects and equipment in the sewing room and not have to cart them back and forth daily. She spends about 4-5 hours day sewing quilts.

Nearby is the White Tank Regional Park, where we enjoy the hiking trails. The RV park has an exercise facility that we use every day, and we supplement with a 3-4 mile hike a few times a week. White Tank is a really large and nice desert wilderness park.

Cactus League baseball fills the month of March. The Peoria Sports Complex hosts the SD Padres and Seattle Mariners. The 2 teams have twin practice facilities behind the stadium, and 2 teams means there is a home game every day! Janet sold programs and I was a ticket taker. We are 'Red Shirt' volunteers for the Peoria Diamond Club.

By the end of March the weather starts getting a little too warm for comfort, with temps in the mid to high 90's. Not a drop of rain since January! Time to go home!
