|Yesterday we did a hike at Cyprus Lake national park down to what they call the Grotto. Very beautiful cove, with crystal clear green water. The rocks are all stacked like stairs. Well worth the few kilometre trek. Wished I had my bathing suit, although I think the water was pretty cold. The black flies are brutal!!! They bite like crazy, actually drawing blood with their painful little bites. We managed to avoid the rain during our hike, but as soon as we returned to the campground got poured on, and it didn't quit until middle of the night. Had a fantastic BBQ meal, prepared by Dave for supper. Yummmm. The rain really contributed to the humidity unfortunately.
Today it was a bit cooler, but had sunshine all day. We went into Tobermory again, did some shopping. Found a book on the shipwrecks of the Great Lakes which we were hoping to find, but even got a bonus of a map where they are all located. I got myself a fantastic Helly Hansen rain jacket, which sure came in handy when we took our boat ride to see a couple of shallow shipwrecks then out to flower pot island. On the return we were going into the wind, crashing some pretty large swells with our high speed boat. Needless to say we got pretty wet!! I had my new coat on which helped substantially, but I had to use it to keep my camera dry more so than my body. I attached a picture of Shar and I looking like a couple of drenched cats.
Tomorrow we are off to Stoney Creek to spend a couple of days at their house.
