We arrived at Rocky Point Lodge after much ado searching for the right dirt road in the fog at 2:30 AM! The fishing charter was a success and we had an excellent guide, Nick, who at first was a little reserved until he found out we are a fun group. Four fish poles went out for halibut and Elaine F. caught the first fish in short order followed quickly by Elaine N with her fish. No bites for the guys yet! A competition was born! The guys then caught theirs but only 40 pounders! The women ruled!!

We shifted to fishing for salmon and collectively caught 19 salmon with Elaine N winning the prize for the most salmon and the biggest Coho! Beautiful day on the water catching 16 pinks and 3 Coho!

Thursday was spent in cold and rainy downtown Petersburg waiting for an early AM ferry. Very small old fishing town with 2 harbors and a 24/7 fish processing plant.
