Entering the Grand Canyon

Taking to the air

The "big hole" from the sky

They found another rock to climb on!

A peaceful evening

A backbend in the Four Corners!!!

Toes in the corner

We spent one night at the Grand Canyon, affectionately referring to it as "the big hole." It is really, really big...and deep. The size almost made it seem unreal. A plane ride helped us to take it in as there is no easy hike in the Grand Canyon. Being one of the Seven Wonders of the World makes it a popular tourist destination. Again, we found ourselves surrounded by many languages. It was worth seeing, but we agreed the size made it difficult to interact with the land in the way we were able to do at Zion.

Our next destination was Mesa Verde in Colorado. The route took us across the "four corners" where Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico meet. Evelyn has been jazzed to "do her thing" there since leaving for this trip. She got a great response from the crowd for her effort!

We are getting into a groove and thoroughly enjoying each other along with all we are able to experience. Thank you for checking in on us - please let us know that you stopped by! Next stop: Mesa Verde!
