Going North on Highway 60 from Globe AK you follow a beautiful scenic highway that passes through Salt River Canyon. A marvellous wonder of civil engineering. You can see it on YouTube since many travellers have captured this canyon on their dash cams.

On Wednesday we visited the Petrified Forest National Park. This park shows the remains of an age old forest existing from before time began!?. The remains that you can see today are totally petrified (versteend) and the colours are amazing.

We stayed overnight in a lonely camping in St. Johns, AK. The lady that looked after the place was so happy to have someone to talk to that it was hard to part.

The nights here are much cooler here because of higher altitude (6500') so the temperature went down to 6 C last night.
