From C to C Journey through Asia travel blog

Amazingly my butt is not sore from our bike ride.

On the way to the temple we passed the children's hospital where people were standing in a long line waiting for it to open. Our guide informed us some of them have probably been ther since 1:30am!

We left at 5am to hike up a hill to a temple and then climbed to th top of the temple to watch the sunrise. We could see Angkor Wat in the distance.

FYI exchange rate was $1= 4000 Riels. But American dollars were accepted every where! Beer was the same price as coke $1!

I must say the attention we got at the hotel was amazing. We learned not to go to the lobby to meet our guide ahead of time. The staff would get so concerned that he was late! One day we were supposed to meet him at 7:45 and they were concerned that it was 7:48! It was the best treatment I have ever received at a hotel!

We had an uneventful flight to Yangon. But we had to change planes in Bangkok and for whatever reason we had to go through security again. Not sure what dangerous articles we were taking from the previous flight. We were at the last gate in the airport and the bathroom was about 2 blocks away. By the time you got there and returned to the gate you had to go again! Obviously wasn't designed by a woman!

We were met by our guide, Daniel. He has great English with a British accent.

Out hotel is amazing. We have a beautiful suite!

We had dinner at a local hotel that is over a hundred years old. Dinner was wonderful and the staff was very attentive!
