Sabie River

Hippo Pool

Not a hippo

K & Tembe

Impala Kruger NP

Kudu

Mum and baby

Sabie River lives up to its name and promise it's a parkland course with a river running through it and lakes and ponds, however, there are electric fences and notices everywhere.

We all spend time watching a hippo and baby in the water of one of the pools until forced to play golf by the fact the game behind is coming up to the lake too.

The evening is a cultural celebration dancing, singing, tribal dress and let's get the tourists to join in. I manage to avoid sitting at the end of a row, followed by dinner where I add crocodile to my gourmet experiences.

An early start on Monday takes us to White River ( not white at all) where we play in buggies and the heat. A friendly format of two out of four. The team I am playing in win.

Tuesday morning Elephant Whispers.

What a fantastic morning learning about elephants and having a close encounter with Tembe in particular.

This afternoon a five hour drive through Kruger NP which only produced a few sitings.

the park is full of elephant that is certain

and hippo with lots of birds but apart from a few lion ( asleep in the afternoon sun) wart hog, impala, kudu, more impala and 1 zebra 1 ! Not much else the bush is dense and the sun was hot. Home to dinner a little wine and ready for golf again in the morning.
