Fran finds a nice place for a nap

The road from Dunedin to Christchurch has a lot of interesting things to see, from gorgeous towns with Victorian-era buildings to rocky cliffs providing homes for sea lions, fur seals, and myriads of birds. Our favorite sight turned out to be the Moeraki Boulders, which are essentially huge geodes buried in sandy cliffs and slowly unearthed by erosion. A few have broken open, revealing their colorful insides. We had a nice little lunch overlooking the boulders and then played around in them. Lots of fun photo opps!
