Lock gates closing

Leaving lock

In the morning we visited a Russian family in their home. There was a woman and her 90 year old aunt who lived there. Basically, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The family had built the house themselves in the 1950’s while working at their jobs. That is, it was built after work and on weekends. Nice garden and plenty of vegetables were being grown.

After that we walked through the local market and bought a couple of souvenirs.

In the afternoon we attended another lecture on Russian history. This time “Putin, Medvedev and the Russian Economy”.

Continued cruising until we reached the entrance to the Moscow Canal.
