20,000 leagues under the sky, 2004- travel blog

Istanbul Ataturk International has to be one of the most chaotic airports I've ever experienced. Every step of the process is pure chaos - from the landing runway the gate is a journey in itself resembling "Airport Inc" on Steroids. We immediately joined one of two queues trundling around the airport terminals in either direction past holes in the ground, building sites and flying debris. All apron areas were a constant throng of buses and various other support vehicles and every junction resembled a motorway for planes.
