Time to enjoy the jam session...See you tomorrow!

This will be short & sweet. Just wanted to let all of our family & friends know that we have arrived safely in Pierre. It was quite the ordeal getting our slides unfrozen this morning. Oh my! A big thanks to our friend Dick for all of his help. Larry was not happy with the fact that he was on the top of the ladder so we were very glad when the slides were clear & his feet were firmly planted back down on the ground.

It was also a welcome sight to see the sun this morning. Temperature was around 35 when we pulled out & there was drifting snow all about so it actually felt cooler than that. 55 seemed downright hot when we arrived in Pierre, lol!

We love our new campsite! We're at Farm Island SP for the next 5 nights. We'll be attending Dakota Western Heritage Festival over the weekend & actually went for a jam session this evening to start things off. Our friends the Ramblin' Rangers are a part of this weekend's activities so we know it'll be a great time. We stopped in front of the capital building this evening on our way to the jam & it is quite pretty. Looking forward to touring it & the Heritage Center on Monday/Tuesday.

Well, that's it for now. Our tummy's are full (went to a wonderful Chinese buffet this evening), it's toasty warm inside & it's almost time to hit the sack. 220 miles & 5 hours traveling tires a girl out, lol! See you soon :)
