Joshua Trees are interesting plants. They are not woody like regular trees, yet they have branches. They do not have regular leaves either. Their leaves are all over, like scales, and they are on branches as well as trunks.
When we drove to Simi Valley for Thanksgiving, we decided to take the back roads as much as possible, to stay off the interstate. That took us through Joshua Tree National Forest.
We stayed about a week Dad and Carol's house in Simi Valley, but visited several times at sister Kelli's home in Moorpark several times.
The day before heading back to Boulder City, Dan and I went to the Spy Exhibition held at the Ronald Reagan Library where Carol is a docent.
