The Olson's Retirement RV Adventures travel blog

Our campsite

General Sibley City Park Campground.

Large open island in the center.

Sort of looks like Texas

Lots of these along the highway.

Largest Holstien in the world???

Another short drive to Bismarck..about 144 miles. We are staying at a city park campground. It is a very popular campground with the locals and arriving on Friday wasn't the best plan. We got one of the last sites. The park has 114 sites - all full for the weekend. It has lots of green spaces and it is spread out. We only have electric which is not a problem for us since we are self contained. Electric runs the air conditioning during the heat of the day and that is all we really need. Or should I say that the dogs enjoy it while we are out running around. Don't need it in the evenings or mornings.

My only complaint here would be the mosquitoes and bugs.

First night here we had thunderstorms and the area got over an inch of rain.

Stay tuned, tomorrow we are visiting another Lewis and Clark area. It is where they spent their first winter.
