Beautiful Mt McKinley

another moose inside Denila

We had a beautiful drive down from Fairbanks. The sun was out and it was very clear. We had a few glimpse of Mt McKinley along the way. There was lots of road construction with many waits. We finally made it to our RV park just at the end of a large road project. Lots of dust! We quickly set up and headed to the park. In less than a mile down the road we were greeted by stopped cars, which could only mean wild life. To our joy there was a mom moose with her babe and we were able to get great pictures. We headed into the park for our tickets for our 92 Mille ride into the park the next day. We then headed into the park as far as we could drive and again saw a mom moose with her baby. However, best of all we had great views if Mt McKinley. Mine and Jim's third trip here and our third viewing, very rare. We then headed back to the RV park, dinner and an early bed time since we had to be up at 5:30 am. Shortly after getting to bed the rain came. Ugh!
