Well we are back in Tok Alaska, the first town on the Alaska Highway inside Alaska. That means tomorrow we are officially on our way back to Merritt Island. Of course it will probably take us 6 weeks to get there including the planned, and maybe unplanned as of now, side trips and stops.
Since Dianna does not need to be back by September 8th for her Red Hat event, there is no hurry in returning. We can make shorter driving days and maybe stop in the Smoky Mountains when we pass through them. Tomorrow we head for Kluane Lake on the Alaska Highway. We have to go through the same stretch of bad road in Canada that we had coming here. Nothing special about Kluane Lake, it is just an overnight stop by a large lake. Then it is a side trip to Haines Alaska the following day to hopefully see some bald eagles. Will post again when we get to Haines.
