Trappers Creek Campground gazebo

Packed up and got out of dodge by 8 am.

Did not mind leaving the Klondike Campground. They reneged on their site promises and put us in a mosquitoey corner. We had been assured we would have a shaded center site. I guess they do not like little campers there.

It rained, varying from light to heavy, all day long and continues as I write this.

We noted that the tide in Cooks Inlet was higher this morning than when we had traveled south. We also noticed a bike way from the Portage area on into Anchorage.

In Anchorage on route 1 a seaplane took off over the freeway. It seemed to me that it would come through our windshield.

We lunched in an IHOP on the Muldoon shopping mall, then drove on to Trappers Creek, a really small community.

Tomorrow we will look fort a 3 day campsite with good accessibility to Denali NP.
