Rambling Rodericks travel blog

Just a note to put this portion of the day-trip on the map and to say that we drove to Klamath Falls, past huge but shallow Klamath Lake, after leaving Crater Lake. We drove through flat ranch land and could often see the rim mountian tops of what had been Mt. Mazama but is now the peaks surrounding Crater Lake. We spent about an hour driving around the city, just looking it over and looking for the "falls". We never did find the falls, but enjoyed the old fashioned and especially the many art deco buildings. Driving up the other side of Klamath Lake we could once again see Mt. McLaughlin....this time from the east. That face was full of snow too. We continued on "home" to Shady Cove via Hwy 140 into Eagle Point and back onto Hwy 62, the Crater Lake Highway.
