Doug's Run For The Wall trip 2014 travel blog

Friday morning, bright and early, I kissed Shirley goodbye and headed for Spokane to pick up the chase vehicle.

If you double-click on a photo it will enlarge to a larger size.

After talking with the dealership owner and the service manager I drove on down to Clarkston, WA to meet up with the nieces and nephews. Saturday morning we all met at Waffles & More in Lewiston, ID for breakfast. Several other bikers from their Lewiston club were there and some accompanied us on the first leg of the trip, as far as Riggins, ID. Continuing on we encountered all different kinds of weather from sunshine (not too warm) to wind to rain and even some snow.

This photo shows the snow blowing through Jordan Valley just as we were leaving a gas stop. Temps ranged from a high of about 60 down to 32 degrees. I sure am glad I was driving the truck. :=) Tomorrow I will attempt to get some good photos of the individual riders so you'll know who all went.

We made about 500 miles today and have stopped in Winnamucca, NV for the night. This should be our longest day as things get closer together as we move south.
