Ok, this is our very last morning staying at this idyllic place, Summerland. Had breakfast and hit the road driving to Chetaring near Kuantan. Arrived at the Legend Resort. Our room is large and overlooks both the beach and the pools. Wifi's rubbish as usual, only in the hotel lobby. We went on the beach for a little while then found that it's happy hour all night and ladies drinks are free (local spirits). Had dinner which was ok but certainly not as good as Summerland.
5th - after breakfast we booked our final 2 nights hotel. We're going to stay in Port Dickson which is around 20kms from the airport. The hotel looks really nice overlooking the bay. We arranged to have the car collected from there too and hopefully, we'll be able to arrange a late checkout; our flights not till 10:30pm. We're going from here to Frasers Hill which should be interesting. We're not now going to Cameron Highlands as we'd planned because it's too far north....but watch this space. If Frasers hills rubbish we may detour....don't tell Guy! :) afterwards, there was a Chinese dragon show. It was very like the hobby horse, lots of drumming and cymbals with a couple of boys in each dragon dancing. They had to go to give offerings to the little templey things and to each part of the hotel. Good fun, took lots of pics.
Today, soaked up some more rays on the beach and had a final few swims in the China Sea. Showered and changed at approx 4:00pm and went to Barak to the 'night market'. This was about 15kms down the road and found it .......eventually! Had a wander round the stalls and bought a couple of things.
Back for dinner...sorry, back to boring. We had lamb shanks with garlic veg. Yum! Just having a free drink...
Driving to Frasers Hill in the morning, not sure how long it'll take as the road apparently goes round and round but most of the way is motorway. Don't know how long we're staying there either. It'll be 1 or 2 days depending on the hotel and whether we like it or not. Watch this space!
