|I've been very lax in keeping this blog up to date and I apologize for that. We arrived back in Vegas about a week ago and are glad to be back in the warmer climate, although it has been getting down below freezing at night, even here in the sunny southwest. I'm not complaining, as I know many of you are really getting hit with a hard winter early in the season.
We had a heavy snowstorm in Ely just before leaving and actually decided to head back a day early as another was on it's way. Oh baby, it was cold while we were loading everything into the truck! And what a load we had, lol. Larry decided to bring our inversion table and we barely had the room to squeeze it in. We've arrived and unloaded so life is good!
It's been a busy week doing the normal hustle and bustle of the season 'things'. Bonnie & I shopped 'til we dropped yesterday and were exhausted by the time we got home. Of course, anyone who waits until two weeks before Christmas to shop deserves large, grumpy crowds, right??? NO, I don't think so! Where is the Christmas spirit???
Bonnie & Larry put all of their decorations up before we got home so their home has really got 'the spirit'...It's so nice to go into the house for dinner every evening and enjoy the ambiance. They really do it up beautifully. This morning Larry and I unpacked our few things, so I will be spending the afternoon arranging them. We don't have much anymore of course, as space is limited.
Monday Mom arrives for a couple of days. She'll visit the kids and her brother Austin before we take her to Riverside, California on Wednesday where she'll be spending some time with sister Elaine & her family over this winter. It's way to cold for her in Ely during the winter. So, that's about it for now. As you can see, we won't be doing much traveling until after the new year. But I'll check in every now and then for those of you that seem to 'care' about what's happening in our lives. We are both healthy and happy so that makes life good. And we're very blessed. Hope you are all doing well and if you are out and about in the hustle and bustle, relax, take a deep breath and most of all, drive carefully! There are some real 'speed' demons' on the road :)
