Coffs Harbour Beach

31st October

We are enjoying life on the Coffs Coast, spending some extra days here. Trevor is still waiting to get his car back from the repairer. The caravan park is quiet and relaxing, Carol and I are getting plenty of use out of the pool. Having pleasant weather with cool nights, also a couple of days with strong gusty winds.

Coffs Harbor is halfway between Sydney and Brisbane and home to about 100,000 people. Think they were all out shopping yesterday a very busy city. The Coffs Coast is notable for its banana, berry and avocado plantations.

Just 11kms south of Coffs Harbor is the small coastal town of Sawtell. Sawtell has the best of both worlds- close to all the services and amenities of a thriving regional city yet far enough away to retain its own identity and flavor.

The heart of Sawtell lies in ambient First Ave which is lined with large Hillii fig trees and palms on either side, boutique shopping, cafes and restaurants where even in mid winter alfresco dining is enjoyed.

Sawtell and Boambee offer picturesque views of the coastline and established lookouts feature seating and walking paths, and are easily reached by car.
