We rode the hop on hop off bus. Most cities have some kind of Hop/On/Hop/Off system for around $40. These usually go to most of the sites tourists want to see and run on a schedule so you can get off where you want and another one will be by to pick you up in a little while. We spent some time at the locks where we watched a large ship coming in and several small boats going out. We also saw the fish ladders which have been created to assist the salmon in their travel. The locks are made on the same design as the Panama Canal.

The gardens were beautiful and peaceful. We took a number of pictures of the trees and flowers. And a picture of a giant stairway we actually climbed! For those of you who know our breathing capacity, you will know it was a feat!
