Where RV Now? travel blog

Today, we took a little jaunt down the road to Tubac, AZ. Tubac is a small town south and west of Tucson which was established in 1752 as a Spanish presidio and now is an artist colony. There are a few dining places, but most businesses are art and craft galleries. Of course, there are the usual T-shirt souvenir shops. We are not really into the artsy-fartsy scene, but we did see a few interesting pieces. Everything was well out of my price range. The piece we liked the best was an almost life-size bronze of a mountain lion. The price tag showed it a steal at only $18,000. The galleries do not allow photos of the art - so, you will have to go see for yourself!

I only took a couple of pictures - mainly for the color. Lots of Mexican art with wall hangings, yard decorations and planter pots are every where.
