Victor Idaho is located about twenty miles west of Jackson, Wyoming on the west side of Grand Teton National Park. Victor at 6100 foot elevation is a beautiful mountain community of around 1700 people.
Our first day we drove up to Grand Targhee Resort for lunch and rode the Ski lift from 8000 foot altitude to 10000 feet. The lift is a little over a mile long, and was an incredible ride. The views of the western slopes of the Tetons were awesome from the top and was certainly the highlight of the day, if you don't count the great Ice Cream and cheese shop we found in Driggs, on the way home.
Day two we spent with friends in Swan Valley Lake Idaho. What an incredible place to live.
Day three was a quiet day followed by a group dinner that turned into a major surprise for Mary Ann. Mary Ann's oldest daughter and her husband flew in from Houston, un be known to Mary Ann. When they arrived at the restaurant, Mary Ann was stunned, and very happy. Thanks to the Ward's, The Hayes, The Paquettes, The Hagedons, and the Shadys, this two month plot was pulled off at a great little spot (Thanks Carmen) completely surprising Mary Ann.
Our fourth and fifth day were spent sightseeing with Mary Ann's daughter Joyce and her Husband David. Thee scenery was incredible, and we saw a herd of Buffalo, some Antelope and even a very shy Coyote. Tomorrow we head for Thayne Wyoming for a couple of days.
