We spent are first day in this area visiting a rather nice "Bavarian Village" Leavenworth is located about 125 miles east of Seattle, on the eastern side of the Cascades. The Bavarian Village was created to attract tourist, and it worked big. About two million people annually visit this very nicely done spot.

Our second day we rented a ski boat and did our own tour of 55 mile long Lake Chelan. the largest natural lake in Washington. At 1486 feet it is the third deepest lake in the country and the 26th in the world. We got to see the entire lake which ends in a small village named Stehekin at the north end of the lake.

Our final day we stayed home and caught up on some maintenance and rested up a little, before tomorrows drive to Prosser, WA, over close to Walla Walla in eastern Washington.
