Today is the final day of our land tour of Alaska. Again, bags had to be loaded up and outside our room at 6:30 so we were up early again. Since we were up, we took a shuttle into Talkeetna, AK for a walk-about. We looked around town and took a few more pictures. We then boarded a rail car and rode for about 5 hours to get to the ship, the Diamond Princess. This was a great opportunity to get some more pictures of Denali as well as few other sights.

I did see something I had not expected. As we were riding the train, I looked out the window and saw two women standing on a large rock overlooking the train. "Don't look, Ethel! Too late, we had been mooned!" Two full moons, and it does not even get good and dark this time of year on Alaska.

We got to the ship and checked into our rooms abot 7:00 pm. Within an hour, we had to have a safety briefing for all hands on using a life jacket and geeting to our assigned muster stations. Our dining hall was closed, so we found a "Anytime Dining" buffet and started in on the food fest that would last the rest of the cruise!

The sea adventure begins tonight. The ship sets sail at 8:30 pm.
