We worked today, and had a very good crowd – over 400 again. The birding tour had no takers when we began the day, but by 2:45, it was full again. A reporter from the local paper joined us for the trip, and it turns out that she was raised in Ninilchik, and knew my aunt and uncle. It was amazing! Another couple on the tour were folks who had been on our tour at Padre Island National Seashore and were campground hosts down there. Other folks met each other that lived in the same town in Delaware! Several of the folks had lived in Africa for some years. It certainly was a diverse group.

When the triplets got back from their boat trip to Seldovia, John grilled bear burgers, and a hamburger for Melita. It was a perfect day!
