After a wonderful breakfast of Apple Fritters, which the triplets brought us from the Moose is Loose Bakery, we picked them up and walked Bishop’s Beach, where they found lots of rocks. It was a beautiful, calm morning, with a good low tide. We headed out to the spit to finalize our reservations for the fishing trip, kayak trip, and the gal’s tour to Seldovia tomorrow. Shopping ensued, and Lydia and Melita found exactly what they wanted at the Inua Native Crafts Shop. They were thrilled.

As the shopping was such hard work, we stopped at Two Sisters for lunch to go and went out to Eveline to have a picnic. It was a perfect day for a picnic – we had the deck all to ourselves and enjoyed the decadence of our sandwiches and dessert. We hiked the upper loop at Eveline, enjoying loads of wildflowers in every color with a backdrop of glaciers and the bay.

We came back to the camper to enjoy the sunshine and found that it was really warm! There was no breeze so it was actually hot! I put on shorts, and we all took a walk down to the bay to cool off, even hot with the awning out.

Dinner was salmon alfredo with a fresh salad and garlic bread from Two Sisters. After dishes, a few clouds appeared, and it got really cool – a breeze came up as well. The temperature went from 78 to 62 in a very short time. The gals thought we were lying about the cool temps until sweatshirts really felt good! It has been a terrific day.
