Came to Gavinspoint to spend the Memorial Weekend. Got a good deal on camping at the Corps of Engineers campground, too. Seems some construction workers were doing some work outside the campground and cut the water, sewer and electricity lines by mistake. They had the electricity back on by the day we arrived, but still no water or sewer. Sooooo, we got to stay here 4 nights with electricity for free! We didn't start paying until Friday when they got the water/sewer lines repaired. It looked for awhile like we might stay the whole week for free, but they managed to get everything fixed just in time for the holiday weekend. That was a good thing or they would have had to refund all the money to the people who had reserved sights for Memorial weekend. As for us, it didn't bother us one bit because we carry our water with us so we were good to go! Weather here has been "iffy" with most of the rain coming during the night time hours, but the sun hasn't appeared much making for cool damp days. Haven't done any fishing here. Will do that when we get up further into South Dakota.
