Texas and Beyond 2013 travel blog

Yay! Back into Pacific Daylight Savings Time. Traveling becomes a challenge with all the different time zones and remembering where we are and what time our family is on.

Nice day traveling and wonderful to see spring and all the shades of green in Idaho and Oregon. Coming down into Pendleton was gorgeous. The fields looked like a patchwork quilt. My favorite time of the year in the Pacific Northwest and I must say, I am very glad to be back. Loved seeing this great country, but there is no place like home.

We once again stayed at Umatilla Marina and RV Park for $28/night. Another favorite RV Park. We sit above the Marina and look out over the Columbia River. We get to watch boats come in and out of the Marina, barges go down the river and trains going east and west along Highway 14 in Washington. Beautifully kept Marina and RV Park.

We visited Columbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA and stocked up on wine. Bob and Polly, we stocked up on H3 Merlot and the Grand Estates and thought of you.

Our final night with Ken and Connie. Connie is fixing us an Easter dinner as we didn't get to do that on Easter itself. We will take off and go separate ways and meet up again in about a month. This fearsome foursome seems to travel well together so hopefully we can keep doing this for some time to come.
