|Today, we started East. In response to the subject of Mike's subject line, we listened to "Eastbound and Down" from Smokey and the Bandit.
We went to the Hoover Dam. I bet not many people had a visit like we did. Jocelyn had a few issues with the narrow road, tall cliffs, and sharp drop offs. Well, we made it inside, parked our van about a mile from the dam, got our cameras out only to find both were dead. My phone then rang so I answered it, closed the van, locked it and headed to the dam. Jocelyn looked at what she was able. The water was way down. Anyway, we got ready to go to the visitors center only to find we had left our wallets in the car. So we just walked around and looked at all of the free stuff, which wasn't much. For those of you who have never been there, there is even a charge for the visitor's center. We were impressed with what we could see.
This part of the journey has an entirely different landscape. It is difficult to tell which is the best. Today I think we are in Grand Canyon territory. Tomorrow we are going to the actual developed part of the Canyon.
We will send what pictures we took earlier in the day and what Jocelyn took with her phone.
Andrea, we loved your perspective on first borns. You nailed it. But, you and Judy are great. We had a marvelous time with Judy and Woody. I can't wait to do it again.
