Engagement honeymoon travel blog

After a late arrival to Perth, we picked up our new rental car ( a Mini Cooper this time!!) and made our way to our hostel. We stayed the night at they perth city YHA. We didn't get much sleep this night because there air conditioner, even though it was off, was squeaking all night. Then early in the morning a group of people decided to do laundry which was conveniently located right across the hall from our room. So needless to say, we were up early and decided to go get some breakfast at a palace the receptionist recommended. It was great. After breaky, we decided to hit the beach. We went down to Cottesloe Beach which was about a 15 minute drive from the hostel. What a beautiful beach this was!! The ocean was so calm, just a small break of the waves every now and then. The sand was so so white and the water had such amazing colour to it. We decide to get some rest under the wooden huts that were on the beach providing some shade. We were in and out of the water here for the majority of the day. Was so nice to relax on this peaceful beach. Perth wasn't near as busy an any cities on the east coast. After the beach we headed down the road to Fremantle. Here we checked into our little cabin we got right close to the beach. We got cleaned up then headed to the harbour for some supper. We ate at a restaurant /brewery called Little Creatures. This was a cool place to eat, it was right on the harbour. There was even an outdoor sandbox out over the water for the kids to play in while the parents had beers. We really got to see some fine examples of great parenting as kids were jumping off the tables and railing over the other kids, while the parents sat there drinking beer. It was actually quite funny. After supper we toured around the harbour and got some beautiful sunset pictures around the harbour.
