Engagement honeymoon travel blog

Today we started our journey down the Great Ocean Road. We had a nice breakfast at the b&b overlooking the valley in Torquay. Once we finished breakfast the temperature was in the high 20's and there wasn't a cloud in the shy so it was a perfect start for our scenic drive. All in all the drive was very impressive! Very amazing formations of land along the drive. There wasn't as much coast line as I expected, but the scenery and views made it all worth while. And being Kara's second trip on the road, she had full sunshine on this trip instead of the overcast on her last. The hot sunny day made the road all the better. The fresh smell of the hot trees and moisture of the ocean is so refreshing. We stopped for lunch at the half way point which was Apollo Bay. We ate at a nice restaurant overlooking the ocean. After lunch, we stopped at a few look out points then made our way up to port cambell, where we checked into the holiday park that we had our room booked at. We went to the tiny grocery store and got some supper and breakfast supplies then had supper. Once finished supper, we went back to the12 Apostles to watch the sun set over them. This was amazing, the colours I the sky were unreal this evening. We were there for a good while watching the ever changing sky and colours. It was a perfect finish to our full day of spectacular driving!
