The Inn

Hume Highway (a bit blurred)

Hi All,

Wow one week in already and how time flies. So far, four different caravan parks with one more to go before we leave the mainland. We have been making our way down the NSW east coast to Near Sydney then headed inland via the Hume Highway towards Melbourne where we catch the overnight ferry to Tasmania.

On the way we have caught up, with friends and family. Kim, Andrew and the 3 grandkids near Coffs Harbour, they are on the way to relocating to Cooma so we sort of caught up with them just before they left their staging point. Then Marco’s brother Scott and his fiancée Michelle and kids near Newcastle followed the next night by meeting friends Barry and Gai from Wollongong who came up to Mittagong to stay overnight and to catch up.

After there we headed off south on the highway to Albury. That run was a bit longer than we usually do at 450kms but all on 4 lane highway so it was easy driving apart from some of the long slow hills where we lost a lot of speed climbing. We are here we are now for 2 nights so we can have a bit of a look around. The run down the Hume highway was through predominately sheep country but was extremely dry due to the dry run through the 2nd half of 2012.

We have also been able to visit a couple of towns where we have not been before so it’s been a mix of sightseeing and visiting.

Love and regards
