Our group of four had a little adventure planned for today. Sam had suggested that we rent a small motorboat at the state park and take it out on the beautiful Loxahatchee River.

As detailed in the photos here, there were some deterrants, but we finally got going on the water. We were out for about 2 1/2 hours and had a great time. Since we had already done the guided tour on the large pontoon boat at the state park, we really enjoyed just going at our own pace today. We saw some beautiful wildlife too. But we were disappointed that we didn't see any alligators. Oh well, we have several more weeks in FL, so I am sure there were be gators in our future. :-)

After our river adventure, we all cleaned up a bit and then out for a late lunch. We had a good meal and a good time at the Dune Dog Cafe in Jupiter. This is a small place that is all open air with a fun tropical feel. Three of us had the Crunchy Fish Sandwich and Charlie had one of their specialty hot dogs. They actually have a decent variety of food on their menu.

After a stop at the grocery store for us to stock up on a few things before our trip tomorrow, we all returned to our RVs where a nice rest was in order.

Later on, Charlie and I went outside and got most of our outdoor items put away for travel tomorrow.

While Charlie went out to fuel up the truck, I stayed behind and went over to Sam and Sandy's for a nice campfire. Charlie brought back a pizza from Anna's in Stuart which was delicious.

Tomorrow we will leave Florida's east coast behind and head west. We could easily stay here longer as we really enjoy this area though. But we are also looking forward to the laid back atmosphere at tomorrow's destination.
